The Newark Financial Helpline is a city-wide initiative to give every Newark resident access to free financial advice. 

From Monday February 22 through Friday February 26, 2010, over 50 financial professionals will lend their expertise at the City of Newark’s Non-Emergency Call Center from the hours of 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to dial in with any personal finance questions, on topics such as credit cards, mortgages, loans, investing or debt reduction. In partnership with the City of Newark and other local organizations, the Brick City Development Corporation seeks to support our residents through the current economic crisis.

Thanks to the support of The City of Newark, Newark Now, the Star Ledger, and the Financial Planners Association of New Jersey, the Brick City Development Corporation was able support our residents through the current economic crisis by providing free access to finance professionals. Local partner organizations included Capital One Bank, City National Bank, Millennium bcpbank, PNC Bank, Provident Bank, TD Bank, Wachovia, The Credit Alternative Group, the Newark Asset Building Coalition, SCORE, and People Management Inc.
